At Cross in Hand Church of England Primary School, we are passionate about providing children with a broad, balanced and inspiring curriculum. As part of this commitment, our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils take part in Enrichment Fridays, a dedicated afternoon designed to celebrate creativity, develop new skills and nurture individual talents.
Cross in Hand Church of England Primary School has established Respect, Community, Kindness, and Perseverance as its four core Christian values to provide a moral and spiritual compass that guides every aspect of school life.
By weaving these specific values into the curriculum and daily interactions, the school provides practical, life-enhancing force that drives both academic achievement and personal wellbeing.
Thrive Approach is a tangible expression of "Dignity and Respect," as it treats each child as a unique individual made in the image of God, providing bespoke support. It bridges the gap between the school's theological values and practical mental health support.
The Thrive Approach
At its heart, the Thrive Approach encourages adults - parents, carers, and teachers - to understand the emotional needs of others.
